Description of the investment
Due to new needs resulting from changes in the spatial development of the capital city of Warsaw and the location of new places of residence and employment, the tram route system in Warsaw needed to be supplemented. As a result, it was necessary to rebuild the heating main along with the heating infrastructure, as well as rebuild the water supply.
During preparations for the project, conflicts between the planned tram route and:
- heating infrastructure were identified
- gas infrastructure
- water supply infrastructure
- sewage infrastructure.
The tram route starts at the intersection of ul. Puławska and Goworka. The level difference is as much as 22 meters towards lower Mokotów. In the next section of the route, the line runs straight, through Belwederska and Sobieskiego streets, towards Miasteczko Wilanów. The final terminal for bidirectional trams is located at the intersection of al. Rzeczpospolita and Branicki.
Two branches have been planned for the route. The first one runs along Gagarina Street up to Czerniakowska Street. The second planned branch was built along Saint Bonifacego Street up to the Stegna bus terminus.
The stops on the new route have been adapted to the needs of people with disabilities and will be equipped with electronic information boards with timetables. In total, thanks to this modernization, as many as 31 new stops were created. A green wave system has been installed along the entire route, thanks to which trams do not have to wait for the green light before intersections.
In the case of this investment, Radpol pipes were used to relocate heat pipelines and strengthen their structure. Completion of deliveries from Radpol S.A. The investment is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023, when we will deliver the last batch of 34 DN1000 pipes.
